Quick Tip

Consider borrowing a book from the library instead of purchasing it from the book store.  This may seem like such a simple thing, but I know people who would never consider it.

You could also look into using PaperBack Swap to save money on books.

  1. Excellent tip! When we do need to buy books, for school or whatever, I never ever ever pay retail book store prices either. Amazon and eBay usually have what we need for a much better price.

Same goes for movies. We haven't rented a movie from the movie store for ages and ages. Why would you when the library has them for FREE. Our library network is pretty good about getting new releases fairly quickly too.

  2. And use interlibrary loan! That is what I do especially when I want to read Christian books that my library doesn't have. They have lots of books like that available and we are paying for it through tax dollars, so use it!

  3. Yes Courtney - we borrow movies from the library, too. It's free and we can keep them for a whole week.

Yes M - interlibrary loan is a great thing! I've used it several times.
