Swagbucks for Tornado Relief

If you are familiar with Swagbucks, they are running a donation fund right now for those suffering from the tornadoes that hit the southern U.S.

This quote was taken from their site:  "During the 24-hour period from 8 am April 27 to 8 am April 28, The National Weather Service estimates there were a total of 266 tornadoes causing over 340 deaths and countless miles of destruction in the Southern US. One of the hardest hit areas was Tuscaloosa, AL. Estimates indicated that the tornado that hit Tuscaloosa could have been on the ground for 176 miles, with winds between 167 and 200 mph."

Head on over to their Tornado Relief Fund Donation page to find out how to use your Swagbucks to help those who were affected by this disaster.  The deadline for donations is Tuesday, May 31st at 12:00pm PDT.

Ways to Make Money Online

I am starting a new series here at Household Cents called "Ways to Make Money Online".  Now, I won't be telling you how to make big bucks by doing shifty things or how to rake in the dough through blogging.  I'm no good at that.  I guess I'm still at that stage where blogging is more of a fun and a creative outlet than for making an income.  But I will share with you different ways that I have found to get free stuff and/or get a steady trickle of change dripping into my PayPal account.

Today it's Swagbucks.

Search & Win

Most people online are familiar with Swagbucks.  It's a search engine that allows you to "earn" swag bucks while you search.  Once you collect enough swag bucks, you can redeem them for merchandise, gift cards or PayPal cash in the "Swag Store".  I almost always use my swag bucks to earn free amazon.com gift cards.  Once in awhile I will get an iTunes gift card for my husband.

A person can easily get $30 - $40 worth of amazon.com gift cards per year just for regular searching.  If you do even more searching and get referrals, you can earn even more.

So, if you haven't signed up for Swagbucks, but would like to give it a try, click on the banner above or click on one of my swagbucks links to get started.  By clicking on my links, we both get extra swagbucks.  If you don't want to sign up under me, go find a friend that searches using Swagbucks and sign up under them.  They'll love you forever.  :)

Win Swagbucks While Playing Free Games

Are you familiar with Swagbucks?  It's an online search engine that allows you to win what they call "Swag Bucks" and then trade those in for things like Amazon.com gift cards or cash in your Paypal account.  I've been using it for a couple of years and have been able to get lots of free stuff from iTunes and Amazon.com.

Now you can play free flash games and earn Swag Bucks!  For a limited time, when you sign up with Swagbucks, you will receive 30 free Swag Bucks just by entering this code:  SBGames  (This code will be active until 11:59 p.m. PST on Friday, January 14th).  This is a great deal because you already start out with 30 Swagbucks when you sign up, so this code will double your bucks!

So if you like playing free games online, then this is the opportunity for you!

Swagbucks

Search & Win

Have you heard of Swagbucks? It's basically digital dollars. You sign up with them, start searching through their search engine (which uses Google and Ask.com) and you begin to collect swagbucks! Once you have saved a certain amount of swagbucks, you can redeem them for gift certificates and prizes.

For instance, it takes 450 swagbucks to earn a $5 amazon.com gift card. It took me just a couple of weeks to earn enough for a $5 amazon.com gift card. And I wasn't doing anything different.....just doing my regular searches....only this time I earned some free money!

They have tons of gift certificates to choose from, including Starbucks, Target, iTunes and more. Lots of great prizes, too.

So go here and sign up to start earning your free stuff!!!

Enjoy!
