Saving Money for Disney World, cont...



Back in February, I posted about our kids starting a "Money for Disney World" jar.  It's been almost two months now and we just brought in our first full jar.  The kids were so excited!  The bank teller got quite a kick out of their goofy grins and giggles.  I can hardly believe that we already have $159 saved up!

Now, when you look at the fact that we will need around $7000* to go, that end goal seems pretty far away.  But considering we only started saving in February and we have just been throwing in loose change, I'd say we are off to a decent start.

How about you?  Have you ever saved up for a big vacation?


*Just for those that are curious:  the $7000 price tag includes round trip airfare, hotel for 5 days and 5 nights, park tickets, food and spending money all for seven people.

    Awesome. I started monetizing my blog and anything I earn is going towards a Disney Vacation. Good start for you.

    I just emptied my jar yesterday and had 111.00. Very excited. This money will be spent at the homeschool convention in three weeks along with the other money we have saved.
