Kindle

Do you own a Kindle?  I don't know if I ever will.  Call me old-fashioned, but I like holding a book in my hands.  But you never know, I might get one someday and really enjoy it.

I recently found out about all the free books that are available for the Kindle.  That was when the 'Kindle envy' began.  The thought of all of those free books at my fingertips....

Then low and behold, I discovered it.  There is a Kindle app available for free that you download onto your computer!  Woohoo!  Free books here I come!  You can download Kindle for your PC and you can download Kindle for your Mac.  How great is that!?!

Amazon.com makes it pretty easy to keep up with the free books that they have available.  Just do a search for 'Kindle books' on their site.  Then choose a category of books that you are interested in:  Best Seller's, Editor's Picks, Romance, etc.  Then it will show you the top 100 Kindle books available to purchase and the top 100 Kindle books available for free.

Happy downloading!

How about you?  What are your thoughts regarding the Kindle?

  1. Steve got one and I think it is a little odd. He loves it though. I'm with you about holding the book in my hands.

  3. 1) I love your new fonts. So cool. 2) the header is awesome, great job! and 3) I would love a kindle, but I don't want to pay for it. I think it would be neat to bring a kindle to church instead of lugging my big bible around. I'd think it would be nice to have while waiting somewhere too like at coffee shop, doctors offices, etc. But I do prefer real books. So glad that technology can help us though.

  4. I don't know if I would have bought a Kindle, but I was happy to win one last year! Since then I've been downloading the free books, and I love that.

One plus is that I don't have to find more shelf space to store books after I read them. Conversely, the negative is that I can't give away books after I've read them!

  5. I would like to have a kindle in a way because I could store a lot of books. But I like curling up with the book too.
